Life, Lately — And Why I’m Writing Again
Whether you have known me for years, met me online recently, or are just stumbling upon this post, it is so good to see you.
It’s been a while.
Years ago, I found comfort in blogging — in the gentle rhythm of putting thoughts into words, capturing little moments, and creating space to reflect. But somewhere along the way, life got full. Beautiful, busy, chaotic, evolving… full.
Since then, I’ve become a mom of five incredible kiddos, deepened my roots as a community health dentist, grown in marriage, found new rhythms through running, and held onto my love of books like a lifeline in the chaos of it all. I’ve lived a thousand stories I never wrote down. And lately? I’ve missed writing them.
So here I am — shining a light on this little corner of the internet, not with a grand plan or a niche to fill, but simply with the desire to write again. To reflect. To share. To remember.
Simply Samantha will be a home for all the things that fill my life: motherhood and molars, miles and musings, books and balance. Some posts may be thoughtful, some may be light, and some may simply be me thinking out loud in the middle of a busy day.
I don’t have it all figured out — and I’m not trying to. But I believe in pausing long enough to notice, to reflect, and to hold space for the little things that matter.
If you’re here reading this, thank you. Truly. I’m so glad you’re here.
Let’s begin again.
